The ninth regular session of the College of Dentistry Council was held, chaired by the Council Chairman and Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Khader Al-Rawi, and attended by all Council members. Hosts for this session were the President of the Anbar Dentists Syndicate, Dr. Anmar Sada'a Al-Halbousi, and Assistant Professor Dr. Rana Hazem Hamoudi, Head of Academic Affairs at the College.
After the Dean welcomed the College Council members and distinguished guests, the Council discussed the following topics:
• The recommendations of the University President contained in the last University Council session.
• Discussing all possible ways to enhance cooperation between the College of Dentistry and the Governorate's Dentists Syndicate, and to keep pace with labor market needs. This includes holding lectures and continuing education courses at the College for dental graduates, monitoring ongoing scientific developments, and cooperating in holding local and international conferences that are aligned with academic and scientific developments and labor market needs.
• The Dean presented the results of his visit to the University of Monastir, Tunisia, at the head of a distinguished academic delegation from the College. This visit came in response to the University President's directives regarding the importance of internationalizing the university's faculties.
• Discussing the topic of updating the curriculum in accordance with applicable regulations and guidelines.
• Discussing topics related to scientific research, including the research plan and research groups.
• Discussing the topic of digital transformation across all academic, administrative, and technical aspects of the college.
• Preparing for the second-semester exams and ensuring the availability of all necessary requirements for their success.
• Discussing the requirements for obtaining program accreditation and working to meet its standards to ensure the quality of education at the college.
This comes as part of the college's preparations to ensure the completion of the educational process for the remainder of this year, and looking forward to further progress and advancement of the college in the coming year.
